Maine's Best Gay Car Show
Is car culture, gay culture? We’ll find out at our first Gay Car Show! Come show off your “car” regardless of style. All vehicles with “wheels” and an “engine” are allowed. What does that mean? you tell us. If you can legally get it there, we will welcome it as an entrant. Totally normal cars are encouraged to apply as well. All vehicles will be eligible for a grand prize in the following categories:
Well Dressed Subaru: The only rule is that it is a Subaru. Non-Lesbians also encouraged to apply. Limited edition decal available to all participants.
Best Butch: Embodies all the best that comes with masculinity. This applies to the vehicle not the driver.
Fabulous Femme: She’s sleek! She’s gorgeous! She’s got style! This applies to the vehicle not the driver.
Enigmatic Enby: ??????? The non-binary person planning this event is not sure what this category is but we’ll know the winner when we see it.
Freakshow: Because non-binary is too restrictive of a category. Vehicles/things in this category need to have their freak flag flying high.
Best Ally: You are gay but your car does not need to be. We are looking for normal as normal can be.
The organizers reserve the right to add categories on the day of if it seems like a good idea.

Pride Storytelling Night
"Gender? I Hardly Know Her!" Gender is all around us, but do any of us really know her? We all engage with gender. From little daily interactions to big life changes, we are all floating sea of cultural norms and expectations that we are always having a conversation with. We hope you can join us for a night of gender joy on stage as part of Great Falls Pride Week celebrations.
L/A Arts is an accessible venue and free parking is available on the street or in city owned garages.
Interested in telling a story? email itshappeningqueer@gmail.com. As always, take our theme descriptions as a starting point, but don't let them limit you. We invite stories that invert this theme in creative ways and go in unexpected directions.
Queer Art Night
Indulge your creative side with our friends at Ellard Studios. Carve your own block and use Ellard Studio’s screens to print your own t-shirt or bandana! If you can spare a t-shirt or bandana to donate, that would be amazing!
Please consider making a donation to help cover the costs of this creative event! Ellard Studios is on the second floor and can only be accessed via stairs.
